World of Warcraft -- Now FREE TO PLAY (Up to level 20)

It makes this more like an extended trial. I have a few friends that play this and they talk about all of the awesome end game content, which happens when you maxed your level. I had the 2 week trial and was level 15 in a day. Basically, it is super easy to hit level 20, and then you can't really do much more.

Now if they did what other games are doing and truly went free to play where you buy premium content, then it would be very awesome. I know LOTRO, SWG, and a bunch of others went that way. I am all for that way since you can still grind up like you normally would and never buy premium content if you don't want and still manage your character very well, but you always have the option to spend some money (which would still end up less than 15 a month for a year) and build up a crazy character

The game died over 2 years ago, best to just wait for SW:TOR. If you are really a fan of the Warcraft genre and haven't played WoW before, they will likely make it free to play eventually when they start merging clusters of servers and you can play through then to get a more optimal playing experience.

Now Free OHHHH THankyou this game is only like 20 years old

I'm calling it now. WoW will become completely Free to Play once Blizzard releases their next MMORPG.

This pretty much sums it up right here. It's been pretty much downhill for awhile now to the point that they are actually starting to lose subscribers. There isn't much innovation anymore, mostly just reused/recolored content.

Pretty sure titan project was planned to have a 2015 release date, more than likely they will just dedicate the meantime to Diablo 3 while releasing minimal content to WoW. It'd be sick if titan turned out to be a Starfcraft MMO, but one can only hope

MMO's like WoW really lose their appeal once you realize your game experience isnt unique. Youre doing the same thing as everyone else, doing the same quests trying to collect the same items and endless grinding...

I wish they would come out with a new Ultima Online...
