400 dollar canon rebate. Help?

APhamX 3,610 557 October 7, 2011 at 09:20 PM
Okay I got the printer 3 weeks ago and the camera. I should be doing the rebate now considering its a whopping 400 dollars. But heres the problem. Should I just cut out the top sticker or both of these? (I know it has to be the top one, but just to be sure.)

Rebate UPC? [tumblr.com]

Oh and can I just print an invoice from amazon's website? Will that count? Or use the one that came in the box when it shipped (not sure where to find it)

The rebate requires this proof of purchase from the printer:

Do note the requirement to "leaving a hole in each box".

FYI, there is no need to blur the proof of purchase/upc code since it is the same for everyone.

The invoice printed from the amazon.com website works fine.

So I don't need the UPC? Oh and I didn't know it was the same for everyone.. Just being careful.

The proof of purchase is the UPC code. The UPC code is "0 13803 10283 3"

The top sticker is probably a tracking sticker for the seller.

The serial number needs to be written on the rebate form but does not need to be cut out from the product box.

The rebate form details what needs to be included. Follow the instructions.

CHECKLIST FOR CLAIMING Pro9000 Mark II and DIGITAL SLR REBATE
? This completed claim form
? The 9-Digit Alpha-Numeric Printer Serial Number in the spaces below.
? A legible copy of your Amazon.com sales receipt, showing the purchase of a new Canon PIXMA
Pro9000 Mk II Photo Printer from Amazon.com, with the date of purchase and the purchase price circled.
(Receipt(s) for printer and camera purchase(s) must show orders were placed on the same
calendar day and must contain same Billing Information)
? Original "Proof of Purchase" 12-Digit Bar codes cut from BOTH the PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II box
and the Canon Digital SLR Camera box, leaving a hole in each box. (See Sample UPC Barcodes below)
? Make copies of all documents for your records.
? Mail all documents to the address below.

The top one is the serial number -- which you should blur.

The bottom one "0 13803 13425 4" is the upc code/proof of purchase which should be cut from the box and sent with the rebate submission.

Most amazon.com links are multi-seller links. It is up to the purchaser to make sure the correct seller is selected (right hand side).

Sorry, no help for your situation.

ouch, now you are bit stuck.
returning the items probably isn't possible now, and you likely paid the full $349 for the pro9000 printer which could have been bought for $160~ :/
pretty big sting, but really gotta be careful~

They allowed me to send it back. But it is up to 15% restocking and shipping, which is better than selling it I guess.
