I've been told that before too with some freebies. That the magazine itself can't make changes, that you have to go thru Mercury/FBM etc to make the changes. It can be a little aggravating.

But I agree with PathFinder, try emailing Car & Driver via the Customer Service pages and be sure to indicate both account numbers. Say you're getting duplicates and want the accounts merged.

You can find your accounts here...and also there is an option to choose "Duplicate Subscription Copies" from the Customer Service Menu:

Or if you cannot merge them for some reason. Guess you can "suspend" one of the subscriptions and use it when the other one runs out.
