I'm pretty close to ordering this, and looking for the best possible price.

I was thinking of getting it from Amazon direct.. Would Amazon pricematch any of the other marketplace sellers' price, like $2500?

Wow! hard to keep up with Amazon's pricing. This was > $3000 hours ago. I don't know about Amazon Marketplace "Huppins" though - seems sketchy not to buy from an LG authorized dealer.

Amazon indeed a low price. I bought this three weeks ago from Buy.com at $2529 with free shipping and no tax. TV was from one of their marketplace sellers and it worked out perfectly, no issues, not a refurb or open box item.
My dad then bought it again from a marketplace buy.com seller for 2499 because I like my TV so much, and another family friend is trying to do the same. The Tv is great, 3d in store was amazing, I haven't tried any movies, but PS3 games like Call of Duty seem interesting with 3d (may make you nauseous if close to the screen! But very fun).

Compared to other 65" LED 3D TVs, with this price it is great. I don't care much that it is not 240hz so this will work great for me for the next 10 years. And... Passive 3D is awesome, as I can have a group of 10 friends over to watch games or movies in 3D without having to spend $100 for each pair of glasses. I used a pair of old theater 3G glasses and they worked perfect, as did the four pairs that came with the TV!

Sit tight for a month and watch what happens to the price of this TV. Keep in mind November is has the thanksgiving day game and BF. It is the one month out of the year most people pull the trigger on a new TV so all the retailers have insane sales. I have watched the 55" version of this TV drop $800 in 5 months. One more month and I think I will have a new TV..... that is unless something crazy comes up for sale.

LOL!!! I don't even know how I missed that. I was thinking of the Thanksgiving day game and BF and my mind drifted to the Superbowl. Sorry.... I have fixed my post.
