Yeah, that's the same boat I'm in, I was a little surprised that I couldn't find any mention of it in the GL before now. Maybe people are just "meh, another LOTR game"?

I haven't heard of this at all. It could be that when you say LOTR, I assume it is just another Warcraft strategy clone.

Over-the-shoulder third person action RPG (wow, that's a mouthful). Local split-screen support for two players, and a third player on another console (or all three on different consoles).

i'm VERY interested based soley upon Dark Alliance, which i LOVED playing. great game. But i haven't hardly heard anything about this game, hence i'm not excited about it. i only rememberd it because there is a Kmart deal where you get a $10 coupon for this game with the Batman Arkham City game, on top of a $30 game coupong for whatever game ove $30 you desire. comes out to $40 off of this game ifyou want to use the coupon for it...

I have been back and forth with this preorder. Too many good games coming out soon and not enough time to play.

This showed up in my Amazon gold box for $53 and they will send a $20 credit and DLC for a sword that increases max health. That's not bad at all for incentive; credit plus DLC = sweet.

I read this was the first Mature rated LoTR game and loved how it's built on co-op (local and online). I decided to hang on to this but can't wait to see reviews.

Preordered: COD, BF3, SR3, UC3, Batman AC en route
Backlog: Forza 4, Dead Island, Rage (still unopened...)

There is more, but all I care to name. I admit, I have a problem

I hope you aren't married, or the Wife may have a hard time reconciling why you spend more money on games than you do on her. not to mention the lack of time that a wife brings with it...thats my main problem. not enough time for all the gaming now that i'm married to my beautiful woman

My wife played through both BG: Dark Alliance games with me, and will probably play this one too, if it's any good

thats awesome! I can't hardly get my wife to play any games at all with me..
She only likes racing games, and Geometry Wars, because it's so trippy. If either that or that Sonic kart racing game that came out recentlyish ever go on a nice sale, i'll get'em

I should preface this by saying I grew up with my dad owning a video store and having access to every game and system possible. I pretty much kept that trend going even though we got rid of that store a long time ago.

The soon-to-be wife is awesome in every way. Depends on the game but she will even be a spotter for me in COD, yelling "guy in the top floor window" etc, or taking over the controller and holding it down if have to walk away for a minute. When I met her, she had original xbox with Halo. To bring this post on topic, this LoTR game is the only one of my preorders she thought I should cancel.

I actually sat her down the other day and talked to her about how ridiculous this season is with great games coming out. Went through all my preorders and she is probably more excited for some than I am :lol

She understands the incentives and bonuses I get for preorders and since we are getting married next year, she's cool with purchasing what I want now and worry about the backlog later. I will eventually get to them. More importantly, I chose an awesome wife-to-be

Edit: oh yeah, as much as I spend on gaming, I take care of everything else. Even told her to leave her job and focus on getting a degree in what she really wants to do. We are a great team, isn't that what marriage is all about??

lol, thats pretty cool to be sure. My wife that is is pretty awesome as well, she just doesnt' share the joy of video gaming with me. Alas, she more than makes up for it in other ways however.
Has anyone seena really good preview for this game that they can link to here so those of us unread up on it can do so?

As much as I loved the books & movies, I have yet to play any LOTR games. I am NOT into RPG's so are there any LOTR games that are mostly action that I could pick up without feeling like I am missing something?
