How much worse towards battery life are live backgrounds vs. plain old flat ones? Seems like you're keeping the CPU occupied but how much of a penalty

looks like I DL'ed the older rom...upgrading to the 2.1 and see if the wake issue is fixed.

Other then the issues I created myself, I'm loving having Android on this. Seems to run great so far, no huge issues. Can't wait to see an actual stable rom considering this is pretty good. Nice job CM team.

does anyone know if you can select which boots up first? i want webOS to start first. there are times when i reboot android, and i walk away for a moment. then come back and android is back... so another restart.... hahahaha.

anyway, i like my webOS, so i use it quite a bit. netflix is really the only reason i switch to android, and some other apps.

so, does anyone know?

From what I can tell it boots to the option screen to choose, at least that's all I've seen.

You want it to auto-boot into WebOS and not the option screen? I don't think it's set up that way yet. Seems they want you to have to choose on start up.

just a note i cleared my cache in recovery after installing 2.1 and so far no SOD had like 10 minute screen off time and even 4 hrs and works fine when i turn it on.

He's talking about how cyanogenmod is autoselected and if you do nothing, after like 5 seconds it starts booting Android.

If it's anything like other bootloaders, you'd have to dig into the moboot files and find the default settings. I would imagine you'd be changing a 2 to a 1 somewhere (since cm7 is the 2nd selection and webOS is the 1st)

Oh ok, got ya...I'm sure there's a way like you said, just changing a value somewhere on the moboot files. Beyond anything I could figure out, but I'm sure the CM team or another Android forum might know how to do it.

Thanks for starting the separate thread for Alpha 2 installed TPs . I wanted to know if there is any way to install itunes as app or is there any way to watch podcast, videos from itunes library on my TP. I know on webos we had some options like HP Play, Spalshtop etc. but I am not sure how to access my itunes in this CM7 version?? Sorry, if this is a stupid question, any help would be really appreciated.

What's the deal with the MarketPlace. It's not going to save free apps we download? Also can't download from online, since it says no device detected..

I like being able to DL online sometimes and install on android later. Hope the official release finds a way to allows this, my Droid does with a custom rom.

Or am I just being slow again?

So some strange behavior, seems the sleep thing is related to the CPU control. I tried some other cpu programs and then just sucked it up and bought setcpu. Tried the 384/1500 mhz with ondemand scaling and putting it to sleep instantly causes the SoD problem. I then set the scaling to conservative and the problem went away. I'll see in the morning for sure whether this solves the long term SoD problem. I haven't really played around with the other scaling settings, but it might be worthwhile to see what they even do.
