That was the same position ICS was maybe 1.25 years ago. Where ICS is now is where that bigger partition of Gingerbread being filled in that pie.

Not to mention that off the top of my head I can think of only a few devices that have Jellybean right now out of the box. Motorola RAZR series (current), Samsung Galaxy Note II, Nexus 4.

Samsung Galaxy S3 is still rolling out Jellybean updates I believe to various carriers.

Right now we're dealing with people's 2 year contract cycles on Android updates as people move from older Gingerbread devices to newer Jellybean devices hopefully sometime this year.

It doesn't help at all though that some brand spanking new phones are still being launched with ICS, and for those companies that want to watch the world burn, Gingerbread in some cases.
2 years after XP was released, more people were using WIn 98 and the dreaded Win 2000.
These things take time. The high tech industry is moving really fast, but people move really slow, as most people don't like or are afraid of changes.

So, how's the battery life now with CM9 and/or CM10?

6+ hours with normal usage and brightness turned down.
4 hours gaming or playing video.
Going super economical with a nearly new battery. one could squeeze out 8 hours.

SD Card not found...I am getting this message displayed more frequently. I have to reboot and it is found fine and works. Is this OS related? Would upgrading from CM9 to CM10 correct this? If so, Ill prob make the move. I am thinking though this might be hardware related which means nothing I can do. I know there is no SD card that I can remove and replace.

I don't know what's causing it but I do remember that it happened occasionally when I was running CM9. It hasn't happened to me on CM10 yet (I don't use it that much though).

Going to CM10 is not that big a deal though... It's just like flashing a nightly. Can't hurt to try.

I would *guess* it is software related since the TP has no physical SD card

I've had that happen to me almost every time I booted up, with one of the nightly versions.
Just flashing the same nightly as you already have (or any other version), may take care of it.
BTW: The SD card is the actual SSD you have in your machine, but they refer to the user accessible partition as the SD card, as if it was an actual different drive.

Ive been flashing 1x a week as Goomanager notifies me automatically. So I always am running latest nightly. However, this issue with SD/SSD has been occuring for weeks so the nightlies are not changing anything. I think ill just upgrade to CM10 since apparatenly everything works on it.

Yes, I sure do. I do get random error messages in other apps that close or error out. So, something is broken. I mean it all works majority of time, but these random errors and messages are starting to piss me off.
*Im going to chalk this up to the crappy Android OS system. Dont think runny JB or ICS makes a difference. Since JB is not being worked on or updated since 12/2012, I am not going to bother flashing rom to upgrade. Ill just stick with the weekly updates for ICS.

Wasn't this due to having too many applications installed on the primary partition?

Yup.
I remember now.
That's exactly what caused the problem in the first place.
Had to remove a bunch of apps from that partition/SDcard, to solve the problem.
Funny how I forgot that.

Hi Rocky... Gabe sent me here and told me to look for you. Smilie I recently got the courage to go from CM9 to CM10 on my Touchpad and I love it except I am having the Chrome keyboard issues and screen corruption that is listed in the Known Issues list. Do you have any insight on this, or when we may see another CM10? Do you know if there is another fork that I may be better off using?

I followed these directions and used this ROM version:

Everything else works great. Thanks for any info you can provide!!11one! Smilie

Sorry, but I don't have a clue.
Maybe dzap or LiquidRetro will know.
