It seems to be charging and running fine now. It's charging by the charging port, but I used a new cable..so that might be the issue. I know the charging port is well used so might be a little loose now. Dontknow

x-ing my fingers for you. But yea, seems leaving if off for a few days then putting it on the Touchstone is what did it. Weird laugh out loud

It's sounding more and more that the Touchstone charger trick is even more reliable than the "play with the buttons" method.
Congrats on getting yours going again.
What a relief that must have been, to see those first signs of life.

I think you're right, its 3 or 4 of us now who have successfully recovered from a 'dead' TP. Thanks for initially posting the idea. worship

TP noob here with some questions. I have a vanilla, un-modded TP that I pretty much just use for web browsing and reading. But I would love if I could watch videos stored on my home network. I have an HP Mediasmart Server, running Windows Home Server v1.x and lots of videos I wish I could watch on my TP. I consider myself above average in technical skills, so if it is possible, I am confident I can do what is necessary. Soooo . . .

Is this doable?
What file formats/resolution/bitrate will a modded TP play smoothly?
Modded, as in installing Android per the wiki.

Modded to me means a chip was installed. I refer to this as rooted or flashed instead as there is only software modifications applied..No hardware.
*My Nintendo Wii is modded with chip, My PS2 is modded with chip, My Xbox is modded...
My PSP is flashed, but not modded..no chip

Major websites, such as CNN, have converted to HTML5. You should be able to play video from any browser without flash player plug-in. I have tested with Chrome, Dolphin, and stock browsers. No issue for playing.

You will need to install flash player for android if the website you are watching still using flash video.

Checkout this website to point you where to get the flash player for your android ICS.

I need help. I have the Amazon App on my TP. When I opened it today it said there was an update. So I let it update. It's probably been months since I've used this app. Well today I got the free app of the day. Well at the amazon site it says: All other Android devices: Open the Amazon Appstore on your device, then go to Menu → My Apps → Cloud to see your purchased app to download and install.

I don't have Menu, or My Apps, or Cloud! Where is it? I also wanted to get Temple Run 2, but the app says I already have it. To look in my apps. I did, all I have is Temple Run, not TR 2. At amazon.com it says I have it too. Where? I can't find it on my device. Please help.

Thanks.

Open up Amazon Appstore... hit the 3 vertical dots at the bottom of the screen and then on "My Apps." You should see "Device" "Cloud" and "App Updates"

As for TR2, I would guess you've downloaded it on another device - you should see it in the "Cloud" section mentioned above

Thanks vivahate, I never thought of looking there. I'll have to try that if I can ever get my TP to find my wireless connection. WebOS works, but this version of Android says my wifi is out of range, even when I'm 1 foot away from it. Have rebooted multiple times. I've notice wifi problems the last few weeks. Oh well.
