Nothing noticeable, that I could tell.

Here's the report,

That's only the CM related changes. Gapps changes are separate

FYI... there is a new gapps available [goo.im] as of a couple days ago (just noticed now).

Haven't flashed it yet. I would like to know what the changes are before doing so since I'm not really having any issues with the previous one.
Here's the changes to the gapps (I just put them in the thread's wiki):

The ton of info that a guy like me can pick up in this thread is priceless.
6 weeks ago, the only Android I knew was R2D2.

If you wait for the final, you have already missed out on a lot, best bet is to start reading from the back forward. Tons on helpful info and walkthroughs. I started my move to CM9, from CM7, around page 63, if you want a place to start. Rocky started his CM9 move from WebOS around there too

On the other hand, imagine if you didn't have this thread to learn things from.
In the first place, without this thread, I wouldn't have even attempted doing it.
Then once I did, this thread saved my butt multiple times.
Like Mozart said, you can read from end to beginning and pick up a ton of current info.

In the meantime, did you want directions to the latest build?

You will get nervous from the beginning. Good start is to read various websites for installation instruction & watch video for step by step installation. Then come back with questions before you're ready to do it.

yes I was hoping there'd be a direction to the latest build.

Using the default view version, Page 63 starts at post # 931

Forget about anything that mentions CM7. CM9 is far superior and offers much more than CM7 did. There are some great videos on youtube from http://www.youtube.com/user/reverendkjr here. After you read some, watch a video or two and you should understand.

Try to search before asking questions, chances are good that its been asked here before and already been answered. If not feel free to ask.

In all its pretty easy to do and understand, with minimal risks of ruining your tp assuming you can follow directions.

Alight.
Here we go.
First thing is to read the instructions on the following page.
http://androidforums.com/hp-touch...chpad.html
I looked over several sets of instructions, and I really like the one above, for being simple and clear.

Everything is laid out in the instructions, but to give you a brief outline, it goes like this.
If you did not have preware on webOS, then you need to download the webOSquickinstall, in order to have the novacom drivers required by the Android installation.
You can download it from http://www.webosbuzz.com/webos-in...stall.html
If you already had it installed, then there are basically only 3 steps.

1) is to copy the files (as per the instructions) into the Palm folder in programs.
2) Make a folder on the touchpad called cminstall and copy the 4 files, as per the instructions.
3) Open a command line on the computer, copy and paste the 2 commands (as per the instructions) and BINGO, you just sit back and watch the show, as it does it all by itself.

When you consider how complicated some of the instructions appear to be, it really is a lot simpler than I thought it would be and any person with zero experience in installing an OS or without having ever used Andriod and has no knowledge of the terms used, it's still an easy job.
Follow the instructions to the letter, and it works like a charm.

Lastly, instead of downloading the cmpupdatexxxxxxxxx file in the instructions, use the latest from here. (first at the top) http://get.cm/?device=tenderloin
Also, you can use this gapps link instead of the one in the instrucions, for the latest version.

Along with the great info provided by Rocky, you may also want view a video of the CM9 installation, and the following video is what I found really helpful. Even though the video guide is for an older version of CM9, the concepts are the same for any version, you just use the latest version of the files.

Highly recommended!

When I installed CM7, I was very confused by the instructions. Installing an OS on my Touchpad while using my desktop computer? I just didn't see how that could work. Once I'd watched a video, it all made sense and I finally understood. Installation couldn't have been simpler.

After you are in android, and want to get automatic notification of updates to the nightly and gapps, install Goomanager from android play

^^^
These instructions really belong in the thread's wiki. I don't know how many times it has been reiterated

Speaking of Goomanager... do you have any issues downloading nightlys from the Goomanager app?

Every time I try downloading the latest nightly I get an MD5 mismatch error. JuJu83 gets that error as well.
