With only CM11 (Android 4.4.x with Jcsullins) installed and no WebOS, seems like it is using battery even when TP is totally shutdown. Before with only WebOS, if totally shutdown, when turn it back on in a week later without use, the battery didn't decrease much. But now with CM11 only, after shutdown and turn it back on a week later, sometimes the battery only has 20-30% left or even lower.
Why TP totally shutdown would use so much battery with only CM11 installed?
Try using the android app Power Off

https://play.google.com/store/app...rOff&hl=en

It shuts my tp off, doesn't just put it to sleep.

I should add, I'm still using CM9, and still have WebOS on it. BTW, my browser no longer works in WebOS, just blank page. Any fix?

I have 5 Touchpads still. I updated 3 of them last night from CM9 to CM11 using the toolbox. Wow. that was so slick and easy!
however, I've never been able to figure out how to use Titanium BackUp with these damn touchpads.
since it doesn't have an SD card slot, and I can't seem to figure out how to back up to my computer, how the hell are people backing these things up?

seriously, if anyone can point me to some simple guide, I'd be very appreciative. I did a batch backup and saved it to a zip file. but when i try to install zip from CWM, it tells me the zip file is no good. I did it several times, thinking maybe it was getting corrupted, but results were always the same

Has anyone had success streaming Amazon videos on their touchpad? I still have CM9 and have been unable to stream Amazon.

i have 5 Touchpads and am able to stream amazon on all of them, but they are on CM10 or CM11. However, I'm pretty certain i was able to do it on CM9 as well.

have you installed the Prime Instant Video app from amazon?
i know there was a bit of a trick to it. i think i had to install the old Amazon App Store, then the new Amazon App (http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-com-...+app+store), then the Prime Instant Video app. and i had to install the Prime Instant Video app from the old App Store, not from the newer Amazon app. confused yet?

I have the Prime Instant Video app installed, which for some reason was difficult, but it doesn't work. I'll keep trying. Thanks for the info.

Good to see that folks on SD still check into this thread. It's been a while for me. I still have a spanking new 32gb Touchpad. I've turned it on and the battery is charged. I know that the webos server has been sunset a couple a months ago. Is it still possible to load Android on it? Is there still a easy to follow guide out there with current information and which rom works best, in terms of performance, battery life, and full functionality?

Someone mentioned this website before.
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/179730...-easy-way/
Links to files needed are on that page. That webpage also include info on multiple roms.

As for this thread, there is something in the Wiki also and at least in the Wiki, someone suggest [4.4.4] [CyanogenMod 11 by Jcsullins]

anyone tried Android 5.1 yet?

just updated all my CM9 Touchpads to CM11 and have no real plans to deal with CM12 at this point, but I'm sure I'll get around to it eventually

Not really seeing the need as the current CM 11 build seems to do a pretty good job imo. The HP Touchpad is all I need for the casual web browsing and surfing I do lying around the house so it will live on.

Only real complaints with CM11 are that the camera still does not work for squat and it has the annoying habit at times of going to power saving mode\blank screen saver and not coming back unless you do a reset (not sure what drives this but it is a problem that has been around for awhile). Seems to come and go as a problem though.

So I am also experiencing high battery drain with my Touchpad recently. According to the guide, you may need to reflash A6 firmware to solve this issue. Problem is, I don't know how to use TPToolkit to reflash since I removed WebOS completely last time I updated to CM11 using ZTPToolkit. I can't go into WebOS recovery, its not an option when I hold down the power key so TPToolkit complains that I'm not in recovery. Anyone have any ideas?

NM, user error. I wasn't rebooting into recovery mode. Now I have it.
