As of Nov 9th Orders were removed from the amazon accounts, and got cancelled by amazon. Amazon just sent an email that they are cancelling the orders due to a price mistake and providing a $10 ecode for future purchases.

What I suggest you guys do (which might be kind of questionable to some but is absolutely what I would do if I didn't get a sapphire swap) is send in the rebate form on the very last day that you can whether you receive your HIS order or not. You obviously will not send in the UPC as you won't have the card yet. Wait for them to reject your submission for failure to submit the UPC and hopefully by that point you will have received your card and you can do 1 of 2 things:

1. Tell them that you forgot to submit the UPC with it and offer to send it in or a copy of it (if you think they won't tell you to go screw)

2. Tell them that it was with your original submission and you will send them a scanned copy of the upc that you took for backup purposes. (I have had to do this for real several times when they told me I didn't submit the UPC. They have ALWAYS accepted my backup copy without issue.)

Sapphire Rebates

Amazon rebate ALT-5383 [images-amazon.com]

All resellers rebate ALT-5384 [superbiiz.com] <--Came from Superbiiz but says all resellers. Try using this for your second card if you received 2 sapphire cards from Amazon

HIS Rebates
Here is a link to a new $20 rebate [ssl-images-amazon.com] for 11/1-11/31 for the people that receive the HIS cards. <-- Amazon gave me this rebate link today (11/8), but it looks like the invoice date will stay as October 20, but there will be a different ship date on the invoice. If you receive your card after Nov 19th you could try contacting the rebate house about which to use, if they will accept either.

October rebate.

As mentioned by several post, Amazon has started shipping some of the orders. People have posted expected delivery dates on the November 8th, 9th, 14th and 15th ... etc. They appear to be shipping the oldest orders first as more stock arrives. If you receive the card after the rebate submission deadline, contact support and they will work with you on the issue.

Also for people requesting replacements/alternative products...don't over do it, you can get banned. See post #1040 ...permanent ban from using chat and phone support.

Let's do a twitter campaign for HIS to fulfill these backorders!! Use your twitter account to tweet to @hisdigital. Their twitter page: http://twitter.com/#!/hisdigital

Rebate Link [images-amazon.com]

"Does this have the BIOS switch? yes but hard to see. "
This is probably the revision of the video card where there is no back plate, no bios switch and slightly cheaper components (newegg [newegg.com] pictures confirm this). AMD had an original version with the bios switch and all the goodies that came during launch day. Then they made a revised version where they took out the back plate, bios switch and made some other changes. This is just a warning in case people are freaked out when they get their cards. Also if you are wondering about effects, if you are using it on stock and don't tweak it then it doesn't matter to you. For those who are enthusiast then well that is up to you since this is dirt cheap.

For a little bit of perspective, how low has the 5870 dropped to? ~$200?

Was working fine about 10 minutes ago. Maybe the two I bought emptied their supply. I'd imagine they will honor the price when they get more. Amazon is usually pretty fast when it comes to restocking. I wouldn't hesitate to put in an order, $100 savings atleast here.
