completely agree.... its better not to thumb down a deal if u dont like it..

and coming to SD , i guess its high time they make this site private and dont anyone everyone to look into such deals..

If anyone has noticed , none of the price mistakes are flying these days compared to earlier days when people had so much fun hunting and sharing deals here

Nature of the beast. The community is what makes the site, if the community gets over run with the flea bay dbags and resellers it's gunna suck.

You can't fault SD for the way the community behaves. This site is nothing without the posters and those of us who have been here a while can sort of see and point out crap like this (as both of you have done). If it went private we would miss out on quite a bit. Everything has it's trade offs.

Could just be people like me who NEVER get in on these darn Staples deals being b*%^$# Florida Staples apparently carry nothing the other 47 lower states carry. Jealousy has made me bitter, I admit it

seriously, one of the problems is too many lurkers. you should at least need to be registered to browse deals. even then, you should have to submit deals and/or be helpful in order to be a member

also, the price is right here, but this netbook is wayyyy outdated

Yes.. there should be some stringent rules for becoming a member and thumbing down option shud be given only once u have 100 reps / 2 yrs on SD ...

This way , we can easily identify HOT , Slick , warm , cold deals.

Really the processor is a meh, but the Ram is cheaply upgradeable to 4GB ($10-$20) with a slick Ram deal (this may have only a 2GB max). At this price, its a good deal for someone that doesn't mind the processor and is looking for a netbook, but they seem to be fading out.
