I don't know, I'm debating this one myself.

Basically, this is a 2010 Bravia HDTV.

This model would be comparable to the Sony KDL-40EX720.

There are three main differences between the models:
1. The EX720 is 3D Capable, while the NX700 is NOT.
2. The NX700 has built-in WiFi, while the EX720 is only WiFi Ready (requires separate adapter).
3. The EX720 has XR240 technology (240 Hz) to reduce motion blur, while the NX700 is 120 Hz.

The KDL-40EX720 sells for $849.99 Brand-New, and has sold for as cheap as $699.99 at Fry's in April 2011.

yeah but there's going to be a plethora of wifi/dlna enabled LED tvs that are 42" and priced between $500-$600 during the next couple of months.

Yeah, but probably not many Sony or Samsung models will fall in that range.

I hope the KDL-40EX720 drops to $600-ish, but that's about a $250 drop from current prices.

Samsung's equivalent 40 Inch LED Smart TV, the UN40D6000 is $770 now, whereas the 3D capable UN40D6400 is $970.

I think the majority of the $500 to $600 WiFi Capable LED TVs (w/ 120 Hz +) will be brands like LG, Vizio, and Toshiba.
