interested in an HTPC cpu cooler
my HTPC seems to be pretty loud and I think it's the CPU cooler that's currently in it (a stock phenom ii x4 fan put onto an anthlon ii x2 cpu). what are some good, after-market CPU coolers that are meant for an HTPC.I am using a silverstone gd05 case that has an optical drive which is directly above the CPU so i need a fan that is very short. some fans that i saw on newegg are http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6835887018 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6835185097 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6835103046 the first link appears to be for intel cpus only ("Keep your Intel-based system cool with...")? Third fan I'm not sure of compatibility with my amd processor. it mentions compatibility with a core-i5 but can it only be used with intel core chips? please help Looking for deals on the following:

Third fan I'm not sure of compatibility with my amd processor. /QUOTE] the first one is only 65W, so I would skip it the 3rd lists AMD Socket AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 Phenom X4, Athlon 64 FX, Athlon 64 X2, Athlon X2, Sempron under compatibility, so it should be fine |

If your CPU cooler is louder than your 5.1 surround sound setup, you're doing it wrong.
