if you're asking whether this is an at&t version or international version, it is indeed the international (factory unlocked) version
Both have same hardware but ATT one has bloat apps and locked
just to clarify, there's two gsm versions? -
1. international / att version
2. tmobile version
in terms of 3g, say both are unlocked.. att / international version will not work with tmobile's 3G. tmobile's version will not work with att's 3G.. but both versions will work with 2G / EDGE on any GSM carrier..
what's special about the international version, is that just the att version unlocked?
I assume that H2O wireless, which operates on the ATT network, will function properly with this phone? Are there any other reputable ATT mvnos?
I see posts like this often in reference to Android phones (with which I have no experience). Can't one simply update the OS on the phone?
Yes I don't really understand it either. That comment is like someone saying their only reason they don't want the iPhone 4 is that it doesn't come with iOS5. It's not like buying an older phone means you won't get the new version of Android. I guess the only problem would be that you have to wait for your handset maker to update your device with the new OS version, so if you just CAN'T WAIT and need to have the latest and greatest Android version IMMEDIATELY then you should wait for the Nexus. But honestly, if you have a recent phone released in the last half year you should be updated to version 2.4.
