NewsDemon and the $5.98/month 2010 Black Friday Deal

I made a post here about NewsDemon and their shenanigans and other users had the same exact issue and it seemed NewsDemon was trying to cancel all the accounts that signed up for the above deal since it was so cheap. Over a dozen SD users reported the same issue.
Starting at post 199 on 4/17/2011 here: http://slickdeals.net/forums/show...331&page=5 you will then see more and more people report the same problem: "Your Scheduled urlhasbeenblocked Payment Failed". This happened with multiple credit cards with many people.
Today I get home from work and start my daily downloads and I see my speed is limited at 550KBps. Normally I see 1.7MBps constant. First thing I do is check my speeds through a few speed tests and I am seeing 25-27mbps so nothing changed there.
I went to NewsDemon support and they had me try three different ports and their SSL server on three different ports and get the same slow speed. The tech then asks me to reinstall my program and try again so I fire up my Virtual PC, install the program and set it up and I get the exact same slow speeds. The tech tells me I should wait 30 minutes and try again and then disconnects the chat.
I don't see how 30 minutes is going to change anything when it had been running that slow for over 90 minutes according to the speed grid in my program. So I rebooted and tried again after an hour and I didn't get or expect any change.
So, just seeing if anyone else out there who got in on this deal has been having the same crappy customer service and weird service problems before I start complaining more.
