I have never seen a Black Friday sale at dealerships, its still a good time to get a deal. The 2012 models are already rolling into dealerships now, so they will want to get rid of any 2011 models they have. Plus you will have end of the month and almost end of the year deals too. What SUV are you looking at? Also, be aware that there may be limited stock, so make sure you have more than 1 color option in mind and also willing to add/delete certain options. I have helped 10 friends purchase cars this year alone, pm me if you have any questions.
I would start with www.truecar.com Use this as your starting point and notice that deals tend to get better as the last day of the month approaches. You can often do better than this price, but it's a very good starting point.
We got are car last year and it had a 2500.00 Black Friday Rebate. THe sticker price was 18900.00 and we walked out of there the total price with taxes 14000.00. WE were going to get a Honda Fit but Honda would not lower there price at all so we walked.
I can't speak for other dealerships, but I know that our dealership has competitive pricing for most vehicles, so to do a Black Friday sale would be just renaming some of the incentives for advertising purposes.
Superman: Is that how a warped brain like yours gets its kicks? By planning the death of innocent people? Lex Luthor: No, by causing the death of innocent people. Sweeps Winnings: $5 HEB GC, $10 Texaco GC, $50 Shell GC, $100 HEB GC, $100 Home Depot GC, 2 Miranda Lambert Tickets, UltimateEars Super5vi, 32GB iPod Touch, 46" Sharp LCD TV, 2011 Harley-Davidson SuperLow
we can probably live with a sedan or wagon but SUV's seem like cool vehicles and we plan to never take it off road but like paying higher gas bill, that's why. Besides if we ever get into an accident, we'd rather kill the other occupant than be killed. Oh wait they'll probably be driving an SUV so we'll just cancel each other out.
Check Truecar like someone said, then go read the forums on Edmunds.com where people discuss the prices they actually paid at the dealership on each make. Then call Costco, AAA and carsdirect to see if their prices are near the bottom of what the people are reporting on Edmunds. Sometimes it's easy to get a car below dealer "reported invoice" without any haggle.
Guess i'm going to have to load up on some more Exxon Mobil stock seeing how so many lemmings just need to have an SUV b/c they live here and want to allow XOM to make 10 Billion in a QUARTER!
Let me guess you'd rather drive a POS Prius? What the fck is up with all of these people bashing on SUVs or anything that doesn't get 40mpg. If I'm gonna buy a vehicle it's the one I'm gonna enjoy, and if it pisses other people off because I drive it, that's a huge plus. I could care less about fuel economy or assholes opinions, if it puts a smile on my face when I drive it, that's the car I want. No stupid econobox or hybrid will do that for me. Guess I'll stick with my SUVs and sports cars. I guess you hate sport cars right? I mean where can you drive one legally above 70mph? I bet you gripe about buying 24 packs of bottled water too?
Give it a rest.
Like it was said before most dealers don't do any black friday specials, but now is the time to look. With the new 2012 models coming out the old 2011 stock needs to be moved, and there is great incentives including cash back + low apr dealts.
