This is neat. I'm watching you, Republic Wireless. I might leave Verizon Wireless for you.

money's sitting in my bank account idly by, not making me more money...

why oh why is bandwith.com a privately-owned company. if they deliver a quality product, their value will skyrocket within months.

My current plan is to T-mobile Togo paired with GrooVeIP. This sounds interesting. I don't buy the "needing another phone b/c of firmware issues" though.

This might tempt me from my $50 4G all you can eat VZW plan.
Is that VZW MVNO? If so who is that plan with?

Very interesting. I've been super happy with PagePlus since switching to them from T-Mobile in late April - since I don't talk much I still have $24+ in credit out of the initial $82, and it doesn't expire until next April. Perfect for me so I think I'll be sticking with them for the foreseeable future but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on Republic...it would be nice to have unlimited data instead of just occasionally being able to take advantage of open Wi-Fi networks!

We have Virgin and the data speeds are abysmal. Republic will run on the same Sprint network and likely be just as slow.

Hmmm.....definitely will be watching this. Hopefully it takes off and it's not just stuck in a single region. Cause if it is I'd expect to see it reach me sometime in 2020....

So lots of dropped calls due to it routing as many calls as possible through WiFi. Sounds like lots of handover issues between WiFi and voice network.

Since they're buying minutes from SPRINT, I assume they're using SPRINT'S network when WiFi is not available. That will be problematic for those not in larger urban areas as Sprints coverage is lacking in the 'boons.

I doubt ANYBODY is going to be complaining about dropped CALLS. This looks like a 100% data play to me.
