seeing as this one isn't geting great reviews, anyone know of a good quality folio touchpad case for $10 (or less) that a) fits well and b) is made well?

Also, is the skinomi screen protector (can be had for around $5) worth it/good quality?

by far the best one I got was griffin folio for touchpad 1. it's very nice leather and velvet interior or something.

I like the skinomi, when you first put it on you have small bubbles and looks hazy but after a day it looks great.

The Technocel folio case that I got from Verizon for $5 is pretty great when you consider the cost. It takes a little heat gun modification to get a snug fit but the materials are solid (leather, velvet-like foam interior).

Overall it is a great case. It does add some weight, but I like the protection it gives. And come on, it was ~5 dollars with 2-day shipping.

This case fits the TP like a glove. It's also the lightest of all cases so that's a big plus. Just take care of your device so you don't need to drag around a big piece of thick fake leather from other cases.

I'm using both the Technocel and the OEM. All I can say is that I am not at all confident the Technocel would protect the TP if I drop it on the floor or having a book dropped on it. The "extra protection" is baseless.
