Thread Details

Found this yesterday while I was shopping for curtains. The employees couldn't believe how cheap it was. I know Emerson is not a major brand but $228 for a LED/LCD TV it is a good deal.

They also have the 19" for $98. Picked up 2 for the kids bedrooms.

The TV online isn't the same as the one in the store. I couldn't find the one in the store anywhere online (CNET, Amazon, Walmart, eBay).

I was at my local Wal-Mart on 11/1 looking for TV's and found these. $228. I bought two of them at that time. Went back on 11/2 and they were no where to be found. Can't find them anywhere online, not even Emerson's website has them. The back of the manual shows contact info of CSR@hisense-USA.com. Looking for information on the equivalent Hisense model but not having much luck

I saw this TV and was shocked because it was next to a vizio 22in LED for 298 and thought they made a price mistake. So I had them scan it because the guy thought the same, and it rank up 228. The store had over 20, was wondering maybe they put it out early or something? Thought a led at that size and price would of made a great pre-bf sale.

Anyone know what the refresh rate is?

Or the Emerson model number?

Model # LHD32K20US

Refresh rate seems to be 60Hz, not 100% sure, but that's what all the input's are labeled in the manual.

I went for this today at my local WM, but (surprise!) there weren't any and there weren't any on display. This was supposed to be on sale all week in my so-called "Local Ad" but I don't think they had any of them and I was told WM does not issue rainchecks. What a load of crap!!

I got a 32" Emerson early Black Friday morning 2 years ago. Was worried about the off brand, but have had absolutely no problems with it. Stays on 8+ hours daily and both picture/sound are great. Think I paid around $218 after Bing promo.

I got the 32" Emerson from WM BF last year for $200, so far is being good no issues, I did get the 3 year square trade warranty for it for $20 after discount just in case.

Our one local Wal-Mart (Hamburg NY) has dozens of them all over stackbases on tables in front. My dad bought one. It seems OK. It is much thinner than the CCFL backlit model and uses half the electricty as one would expect with an LED. Picture quality is OK for the price brighter than the CCFL model but black levels are nothing to write home about, some of the CCFL models are better looking in black level. Viewing angle is decent. Has a fair number of inputs for the price. This one is made by Hisense.

Emerson sources TVs from different companies so comparison from one model to the next is hard. I think their CCFL LCD model is from Funai. When they've had Plasmas in the past they've been from Samsung.
