Metro PCS is only good if you are in a city with good coverage and you don't travel.
They have no roaming.
I didn't realize that Metro PCS had no roaming. Still not bad if you don't travel and have no need for 4G speeds.

well they do have roaming off of Verizon towers.
19c /min though.

I wouldn't really recommand them although I am a sales person for the store. lol
When you flash phones, make sure you do not live in the area where Metro uses AWS towers like New York. Flashed phones will not work there.

I sell Metro PCS also. For the money and the service you get, it is well worth it! Phones are are relatively cheap in price also. I have yet to see a different carrier come close to what metro pcs offers. Boost is a big competitor but there phones are overpriced and are more expensive monthly.

This is a good deal, I've used this for the last 2 years, and we've had good luck with it, internet is slow as 14.k modem, but as far as dropped calls and what not, its not any worse than any other. The key is using a good phone, most phones they sell are kinda junky. Flashing is definitely the best choice. Its a good deal, if your looking for unlimited text and voice and don't travel that much. BTW texting is free nationwide. If my memory serves me right, roaming is an option, albeit expensive. I think it .10 a minute.

So flashed phones can work with the $40 plan? And now the 4 for $100 plan?

Hold up, I thought when you flashed a phone to Metro you would not be able to utilize Metro's data services? What's the point of flashing a nice phone then to a plan like this?

That may be, however, Boost Mobile does not charge for roaming as it runs off of Sprints CDMA network and Nextel's Iden Network.

As far as the monthly plan is concerned, they offer shrinkage for every six months, up to eighteen months, which will bring your bill down to 35 ( regular phones), 40(Android phones), 45 (Blackberry phones), provided that the bill is paid on time.

Phones may be less expensive at Metro PCS, however, it comes down as a package deal with either company. Some may prefer to pay a little extra now with Boost and then pay less later with shrinkage. Some may pay less with Metro now with phone and service, and then pay for roaming charges. It all comes down to what the end-user needs and prefers.

Just some food for thought.

I had a metro 10 years ago when they first came out in South FL.

The biggest problem with Metro has ALWAYS been the charging for roaming. They have always given you plenty of bang for your buck tho and have been house phone replacements for years in South FL.

Great for people who never leave their local area, although it would suck if you can't use atleast an Android phone w/o 4g.

Then you need 4 lines . . . I'm sure it will help somebody.

MetroPCS has the 4 line family plan for only $100 (includes taxes + fees). Includes unlimited talk, text, data.

Includes their "4G" phones.

To save even more you can Metro Flash your existing CDMA phone for $10 and then hack it to her data on it.

That's makes this $25 per line!

Your family plan can include 4g phones, but not at $25/month (only the the person using the 2g/talk/text phone will be at $25/month, the rest will be at regular price.

metro faq- So must all lines on the account be at the $40 (non 4G LTE) level?
No, as long as there are at least four lines on the account the promotion is in effect. For example if an account includes (2) 4G LTE $50 rate plans, (1) $45 rate plan and (1) $40 rate plan, the customer with the $40 rate plan will pay only $25 per month (taxes and fees included).
