Need recommendations for a computer desk to support Dual Monitor Setup

executivedealer 2,787 491 November 2, 2011 at 09:17 AM
I've been looking and haven't had much luck.

I'm looking for a computer desk that can support a dual monitor setup.

Preferably black and under $200. Quality over Quantity. Need one that lasts. I do a lot of work on the computer, so would like a good one with good reputation. Thanks!

This is kind of what I was thinking. What are the special requirements in your case for this desk? I have 20 users at work all using dual monitors (some up to dual 24" wide) on standard 6' desks with no issues.

Not asking for a dual monitor stand. Just a decent desk that has enough space to support a dual monitor setup. I went to staples today and found this http://www.staples.com/TechniMobi...uct_673694 Pretty sure I might get it

I had that desk, it's HORRIBLE... the cheap plastic ball wheels break in a month from holding up the weight of the desk (I'm sure your dual monitors will weigh more than my single monitor)

Go to Ikea and buy a big ass table. Or just about anywhere else. They old computers well. I went though desk after desk and have never been happier then with my big ass table.

First of, what is going to be on the desk and what will be your monitor sizes. I have a five foot desk and I fit dual 24" fine.

Get a dual monitor stand and you will be limited only by any hutches and other enclosures.

Go to Office Max with a furniture department and get a corner desk. Requires special order from their catalog. Desk is huge and deep. This was quite a few years ago though.

A standard 6ft desk has enough room for a large dual monitor setup. If you want quality go to a real office furniture store, not a big box store. HON, Steelcase are both good manufactures to start with. Look for last year's models or floor models to get a good deal.

Craigslist might be a good place too,

You serious? Based on the reviews, other then it being a pain to assemble it seemed pretty good. 4.5 out of 5 from 405 reviews.

Two 23'' LCD Monitors, that's about it.

really you want tech support to find you a desk?

Maybe thread should go to "help me find a deal" section...

More so other tech enthusiasts who's had good experience with a decent computer desk for a similar setup such as mine.
