Xigmatek Dark Knight S1283V Rev.W 120mm CPU Cooler $4 after $20 rebate + Free Shipping

I've yet to receive my rebate on this item. I e-mailed the lady one time but never got a response.

Still waiting for this rebate. I actually got the Zalman enclosure rebate just today. That one took forever also.

I know this is only for $20 but it still just pisses me off that a company can do this and there is NO regulation (AFAIK) controlling the rebate process. I suppose its just the free market that will have people not buy from them.

A coworker of mine tried to get in on this deal before I could warn him, and he ran into the exact same problem. Xigmatek ignored all of his emails and Newegg's phone, chat, and email CS stonewalled him (so much for everyone claiming Newegg would "make it right," eh?). In the end, he filed FTC complaints against both Xigmatek and Newegg, opened BBB complaints against both, and submitted formal complaints to the respective State's Attorney's offices of each, CCed to each corporate office via registered mail. Newegg responded within days and gave him his money in the form of a refund to his credit card, but refused to apologize, calling the credit a "courtesy one time exception." Absolutely no response from Xigmatek.

The lesson from all of this? Xigmatek is still egregiously ignoring rebate requests on a criminal level, and Newegg's stance is to not accept responsibility. But when push comes to shove, Newegg will eventually give in. Regardless, it's a lot of work for $20. Or as many have said many months ago: "I told you so."

I'm Going on 14 months now still waiting to get one of my $20 xigmatek PSU rebates. I finally filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau yesterday, we'll see If that helps at all. One things for certain, all of us that have burned, need to continue to spread the word about this crooked company and try to enlighten potential new customers about Xigmatek's shady practices. I've included a direct link to the Better Business Bureau to complain about Xigmatek, for all those who are interested. It's a pain in the ass to file the complaint, but it's something that needs to be done in order to start establishing a recordable pattern of Xigmatek's horrible business practices.

To anyone who has been burned by Xigmatek (essentially anyone who has submitted a rebate with them), I highly recommend submitting a formal complaint with the NYS Attorney General. This place is in Commack, NY (Long Island) and the appropriate form is here:

Got my $20 check in the mail today. Only took about 13 emails but it finally arrived.

Will definitely be my last Xigmatek purchase.

I think I'm up to 10 e-mails now, first rebate I have ever had that they purposely stonewall you to try and not pay.
