you're stuck in the same cycle of confusion i've been in for the last 20 or so minutes.

ignore my account. it's going to be useless for your purposes.

on the left top of your page, where User CP used to be, you'll find the counterintuitively named link "Notifications and Activity"

Click on that.

It will take you this new User CP page, with a whole narration of every thing you've been on doing on SD for the last however minutes and anything anyone has done in response.

scroll past that clutter and below that you will find your threads with new posts. the text looks a whole lot more crunched and much harder to read. i don't know if that's just how it is displaying with this OS/browser combo, or if it is an artifice of the tough on eyes color scheme or if it is a real issue, but at any rate the threads are there. only, since you use SD about as much as I do (we're both all over), you'll be doing a lot of scrolling past a long activity stream. so don't panic if you don't see your threads right away (i did!)

Click on "My account" it goes to the same page.

Let's go back to 2004 [archive.org].

YES I am paying attention. And I can't stand the LARGE list of recent activity I don't need to know who I sent a PM to, what thread I posted in, and who quoted me in a thread.

I want the ability to HIDE the Activity Stream.

I seriously hope this means you're going to allow us to hide that pesky Activity Stream

Let's go back to 2004 [archive.org].

JM, click on the dropdown arrow next to My Account and then select My Subscriptions. That will take you to an "old school" listing of threads.

it goes to the same page WITH THE HUGE EXCEPTION that it displays this huge tacky list of recent activity above your subscribed threads that's all we're trying to say! the huge tacky list at the top is annoying and we don't like it.

i do that and i still get the My Subscriptions page with a huge list of recent activity on top of that

We're still working on the placement of the icons, but at the top of the thread, or on a post, you'll see a new button that says "Add to List" with a star next to it.

Simply click on it to add it to your favorites.

We're slowly going to roll this out to lots of other parts of the site.

We're going to put together a new features guide here shortly, but want to work out all the bugs first

My mistake. DON'T click on My Account first. Just hover over it and wait for the dropdown menu to appear. Then click on My Subscriptions.

If you click MY acct and then try to click on My Subscriptions, the first click registers and takes you to the new CP page.
