This game was worth the retailed 80 bucks. 70 bucks is a great price!

thanks OP, got one. tried to buy one from best buy earlier but the asshat sales dolt claimed the magazine with the $20 off coupon couldn't be sold on a per-issue basis, even though there was a stack of them. now I remember why I'd stopped going there.

That's annoying, that said the @Gamer club thing has been worthwhile for me (I took advantage of their 50% trade-in bonus for pre-ordering Gears 3 ($5), being a Gamer club member gets you an extra 10%, which paid for the subscription on my $200 worth of trade-ins.) I've used a few of their coupons thus far, been pretty good to me.

On to the topic at hand - this game is worth every cent imo, I was a fan of the first couple Guitar Heroes and Rock Bands but have been pretty bored of the genre ever since. Rocksmith revitalized my interest in it, even though it's less a game and more an instructional tool - a really damn fun one. It also works waaaay better than I was anticipating, even tuning the thing is badass.

Tried two different electric guitars with it, both worked effortlessly.

2 questions

1. I've read there is a slight delay in picking the string and having it register on screen, this would def screw up more advanced stuff right?

2. Does the game(in the hardest mode) use the actual exact notes of the songs, like how its actually supposed to be played on the fretboard of the guitar?
