I use Mint.com a lot, and they could use some amortization charts of your current loans to show how much interest you are paying and going to pay if you continue with your current payments.
Most people don't pay attention and see that they are going to pay twice what their house is worth in interest over a 30 year loan (variable I know, but using as an example).
I like mint because it pulls everything from all my accounts, so it's a one-stop-shop for information.
Perhaps some more information, such as how much I'm paying in taxes on my income? It already knows how much comes in, and where money goes out to, why can't it do my taxes for me?
The ability to add a house on mint.com as a "debt payoff" option would be great, but they only include credit cards as an option, like the other debt is OK.
Since mint has somewhere around 2+ years of my purchase history, why can't it alert me when something odd shows up? Like a $12 or $1200 purchase from XYZ Ski company or something. Sure, I may only buy 1 thing there, but shouldn't the software notice I've never been there before? What about something out of state?
I would make it to where the phone app actually lets you add purchases, first off. Without it it wasn't worth it to me. I'd also like to have more control at making categories and labeling things. Never really worked when I tried it. It has a number of other bugs to it, like how if you change the type of checking account you have with a bank you can't get it to work with Mint ever after that.
Honestly if they just make a Quicken phone app which talked to Quicken on the desktop that'd be all I need.
I just need one that would automatically, in real time, download my transactions from any bank or automatically download statements and reconcile even if time periods overlap (i guess using unique transaction I.D.) . It would also need to track investments. If it's an online service it MUST allow me to utilize a hardware token in order to authenticate myself with the platform.
I'd like to use a separate router for the STB so it doesn't use up all the router fluid from the landlords router.
