Is this a good i5/i7 Gaming system? If yes where should I buy parts?
Hi all,This will be the first time I build a computer, and I don't have much knowledge about computer at all . I've done some research online and came up with this system. Can anyone please have a look at it and tell me if there's anything wrong or can be improved? (I'm a college student so my priority is low cost, so if there is alternative ways or parts that yield the same or slightly lower performance I really appreciate )This system with ị5 is currently $595 179.99- Intel Core i5 2500K LGA 1155 Boxed Processor [microcenter.com] 49.99- GA-Z68AP-D3 LGA 1155 Z68 ATX Intel Motherboard [microcenter.com] 149.99- HIS H685FN1GD Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity [newegg.com] 39.99- RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-530SS 530W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular LED Power Supply [newegg.com] 39.99- Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model KVR1333D3N9K2/8G [newegg.com] 59.99- Western Digital Caviar Blue 250GB 7,200 RPM SATA 6.. [microcenter.com]. 56.99- Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case [newegg.com] 595.9- Total with Tax I wonder should I pick the Core i7 2600K LGA 1155 Boxed Processor [microcenter.com] at 279.99 ?? Will it perform much better? If I do the total will be $695.9 Moreover, I came across this Cooler Master TC102 Mid Tower ATX Computer Case with 500W Power Supply [microcenter.com] for 36.99. Should I go for it instead of the Antec case and Raidmax PSU?? If I do I'll be able to cut the cost down to $498.92 (i5) or $598.92 (i7). Should I?? Is it safe to do so? I figure I'll just go for the crappy harddrive and RAM and wait for some ridiculously slick deals to get better ones. Please give me advise. I really appreciate it. PS: I'm a noob lol so I only shop most of the part on Microcenter and Newegg. If you know any place offers better price on BF please let me know

Keep the i5.. the advantage of the i7 is mainly for video editing and threaded applications. In gaiming, theres not much real world difference. So if you are willing to go
Get some better memory, otherwise its gonna be a big bottleneck. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6820231311 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6820231460 Id also get a better PSU.. IMO, just to be safe. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6817152036 Also found this cheaper 6850 ($129.99 after rebate) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6814102908 A cheaper case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6811147153 Everything else looks good to me.
