Many people have checked numerous times, and from what has been gathered, this deal does NOT, i repeat, it does NOT appear to be in store only.**

Note: HP does not make Mac drivers for their monitors and some users are reporting that the text may appear blurry. "HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors. To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC. The monitor should operate at 60Hz. The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment." http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/w...02073#N361

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO BOUGHT IT IN STORES FOR $100! THERE IS A COUPON TO DEDUCT THAT $100! READ BELOW!

WOOT! I got it for 87.02 after taxes. I purchased the monitor for $108.78 this morning and I came back and returned + re-bought and applied the 20% coupon I found online. It was successful! Manager had no problems at all, he was like "oh, cool!" I could have bought more.. but I didn't really need them, only needed one. There's like no one buying it in Gilbert AZ where I live, haha. Well.. good luck SDers!

Here's the link where I purchased my coupon! : http://www.adealperday.com/index....cts_id=166 This coupon is for 20% off furniture. It is considered fraud to use altered coupons. Use at your own risk. Be careful!!!!! The other coupon ($25 off $75) is for cleaning products. Thank you, whoever posted this. Just used it to get $20 refunded! The coupon doesn't say anything about "furniture only" -- it just says "20% off single item excluding computers" The coupon has been altered/Photoshopped by these websites. When they scan the coupon on the computer that is what it says to the employee. Just YMMV call Staples and read them the number on the coupon...they will tell you what it is for.

k3u: Well, I purchased it off that website and... there's nothing wrong with the coupon. It went through fine at my Staples. I'm not sure about others, but some others have confirmed that it also works for them.. so.. hey I thought I was helping. Besides it even says it on the website, "Any single item excluding computers".

Initial Purchase : $108.78 in-store
Final Purchase : $87.02 with above coupon!

Hopefully I helped many of you out who were stuck buying it in-store like me for $100+
You helped me, got mine on 11/18 in GA store, display model.

The images are attached below. (:

I have tested three monitors.

1. Monitor should auto detect for a live video signal during PC boot. I've confirmed this with DVI, HDMI, and analog. Once the signal is live, then monitor will lock into that signal. I use quality ($2-$3) V1.3 HDMI cables. All work fine with this HP monitor.

2. Install the monitor driver from the HP website.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/w...ct=5076897

3. Unless your monitor is defective, the following color calibration steps should net the same result, plus/minus a few %.
- Position the monitor so that the screen is perfectly vertical. The top edge of the visible screen should be 3.5" above the eyes.
- Go to RGB mode. R 209, G 159, B 197.
- Custom Scaling\Overscan\AUTO
- Sharpness 4
- Dynamic Contrast OFF
- Click on AUTO calibrate if monitor is connected via VGA.
- Click on the two links below to fine tune Brightness and Contrast. Brightness 50. Contrast 27. Save all settings and exit menu.

Doesn't seem like the contrast ratio is all that good. Even when compared to that supposed crappy Viewsonic Monitor. (3,000,000:1 vs 10,000,000:1)

EDIT: Apparently if the contrast ratio is "dynamic" this stat is useless. So nevermind.

If you do that you should verify that they will still include your 25 off 100 coupon.
