Thanks for the update, I'd been wondering where my 'while in the PM' delete button went.

Subscribed Threads Improvements - Per user feedback, we are working on improving the new subscribed threads functionality.

A first revision brings back bold/unbold, thread previews, first unread, and page browsing. The subscribed threads are now sorted by last activity.

We will be adjusting the colors (and perhaps adding a "new" icon to make it more apparent for threads with new activity).

New update to display the number of undead posts since your last visit to the thread.

Here are a few revisions to the Subscribed Threads List section in User CP.

-Bold/unbold thread titles for to indicate unread status
-# of unread posts since your last visit
-new post preview feature
-multiple thread selection

I'm glad to see this coming to life finally! I know there have been other issues that were far more important, but for myself personally this is a step in the right direction.

- A touch of feedback, the bold link when new/unread isn't really needed if the "New" icon is still used in the same context.

- The preview mag. glass is a touch small and slightly hidden, but after knowing it's there, it evident what it's for.

- The delete/unsubscribe function would be nice to have back. I would remove the ignore button and change that to delete.


I will follow up with any other issues, but thanks for the improvements thus far!

my open envelopes do not have numbers.

to google and me, a magnifying glass denotes *search*, not *preview*. i might expect a search box to pop up.

Currently in development is Enhanced Frontpage Preferences.

This will allow you to filter out frontpage deals based on categories. You can also specify if you want to see more deals for a specific category. There will be other aesthetic changes to the frontpage.

ok, found it in *new subscribed threads* on the notification & activity page, not *subscribed threads* page. didn't even know that was there until cali pointed it out.

Traditionally it is, but if you think about it, it also gives you a "closer" look. So as long as a preview button is included, I'm a happy camper.

I was wondering why suddenly the new posts button shows 199 pages when I used to be able to set it to 20 or something more managable. Was going to post asking what happened or if I need to do something different but looks like your aware of the issues and are working on it. If I missed a new setting or something let me know, otherwise I'll wait to see how the tweaks help things as you add them.

well an icon is supposed to be a universal symbol that means the same to everyone but it didn't matter to me b/c i do not need to preview my subscribed threads, they've said the same thing for years.

then i gave that a tiny bit of thought. why are we previewing subscribed threads? you've already seen it when you subscribed to it b/c you subscribe from the first page. i dunno any reason to ever look at the first post again.

but what would really be awesome would be the ability to preview forum threads! i would totally love to be able to preview hot deal threads. considering comcast service is so bad and many times pages won't load or take a long time to load, being able to preview threads new to me would be a valuable tool instead of the ability to preview threads i've been subscribed to for years.

If you're talking about previewing the first post in a new thread, we already have that feature . Just click the little + sign to the far left of the thread title and it'll open up just the first post to view.

What I use the preview thread for is to get to links posted in the first post. It's more efficient for me to subscribe and access those links via the preview thread than to save those links in my bookmarks.

As far as preview posts, I'm assuming you would like to be able to stay on the same subscribed profile page and still via the whole post, including responses, wiki post, etc. That would be very sweet! There is something called iFrame, that would work for this idea, not quite the same format, but would get the job done. If that were a feature to add, I would prefer that to be another button.

We're getting close to a public beta of some new stuff:

• Improved wiki system to allow more specific information, instead of just text
• Improve the ability to share on Facebook
• Single Sign On with your Google Account
• A new system that gives you the ability to subscribe to new deals a user posts.

There is more, but i'll leave that as a surprise
