Discover More Card: Unlimited 2% Cashback on Utilities bill payments (such as Phone/Cable) till 12/2012 YMMV
Earn 2% unlimited Cashback Bonus on cable TV, satellite TV and radio, phone, and Internet service provider bills that are set up for automatic bill payment with your Discover card from the date you sign up through 12/31/12. If a bill is classified to a category other than those listed above or is not coded as an automatic payment, it may not qualify. If you choose to cancel an automatic bill payment, you must contact your service provider. Purchases earning 2% Cashback Bonus will not count toward your total annual purchases to determine your tier level. Rewards are added to your Cashback Bonus account at the end of your billing period. See Cashback Bonus Program Terms and Conditions for further details.
TV bills are classified as cable and satellite. Phone bills are classified as landline local and long distance services, cell phone services and voice over IP phone services. Internet is classified as Internet service providers; Internet marketing and selling services, website and domain hosting, anti-virus and Internet security, Internet search advertising, web design, and online data storage/backup are not included.
To get to sign up, sign into your discover account - 'go to my profile' next to messages, and once on your profile - check under 'Rewards Options' you may see something such as 'DOUBLE Cashback Bonus Promotion' - click on details and you'll see it.
link: https://www.discovercard.com/card.../recurring
and here is a link of providers: http://discover.billeo.com/discover/landing.html
P.S. It says it for recurring payments but I (my personal view) don't see a way a credit card company would know whether the charges are recurring or not, so its more like whenever they would see a charge from those 'bill' providers as mentioned in the link' they will pay 2% cashback on those charges. Hope it helps some people who don't have 2% bonus on every purchase.
