Buffalo vs Moose: Which would win?

7 10 November 1, 2023 at 06:54 PM
Just wondering what you guys think here, but let's take an American Buffalo and pit it against a Canadian Moose.

Which one do you think would win in a battle to the death?

Serious arguments and points please Smilie

Moose are more dangerous than Buffalo, and the moose's antlers give it an advantage.

If you're talking bison and not water buffalo, and assuming full grown prime of their life, the bison 8-9 out of 10 times. They can reach double the weight, can get taller (if counting the hump), and have a lower center of gravity so less likely their legs will snap. Moose have those massice antlers, but the buffalo build makes them tough enough to withstand those antlers for quite awhile. So if the fight drags on, it could wear the bison down. The bison have pointy horns of their own but would only be effective broadsiding the moose or catching its antlers. Both work like the Juggernaut in that once charging, not much will stop them so about equal there in combat. For a standing charge, the moose has an insane one but it's only for a few feet, intended for antler butting its rivals, like a goat. But the bison is built for charging/stampeding so will do better at the 15-50 foot range. Supposedly the bison have a higher intelligence but I couldn't find any supporting evidence. And endurance... both have a ton so also hard to judge. So unless the moose gets in a critical hit early or can keep the distance close, I think it'll slowly wear down. Unless the bison can get a full charge while the mouse is stationary, in which buh-bye moose .
