HP Pavilion dv7-4165dx laptop power cord light color (SOLVED)
This HP Pavilion dv7-4265dx laptop comes to me with a broken screen. Everything else is supposed to be working properly.
I change out the screen with a supposedly good, working screen that is the same -- complete with the video cable, webcam cables and wireless cables -- changed it all out in one unit as it was the same and the same color of back housing.
It displays properly and everything works as it should. I googled 'HP Pavilion dv7-4165dx charging power light', but am not finding what I need. The light beside where the power cord is plugged into the machine is orange. I have an idea that this should be blue if the machine is working properly. Any ideas as to why it's orange? The battery has charged from 65% up to 90% in the time I"ve been uninstalling programs not needed to clean up the machine -- probably about 30 to 40 minutes.
I'm not sure if the battery is good or not and have another I can try. Could it be that the battery I have installed at this time is just not a good one?

The light is probably supposed to be orange while charging.
OOOh, I think you are correct and maybe I jumped the gun thinking there was a problem. The machine is currently getting Windows Updates after another 10 to 15 minutes of up-time and the light has changed to blue.
Forgive my noobness on this -- I am very new to working on laptops. I'm a desktop mechanic for the most part.
