If these are 60 Watt, then they've been at this price for a couple of months, since the 75 Watt version took their place and price. If this is the 75 watt one which goes for $40 right now, then it's an awesome price, I might pick one more.
The light is trully warm white, at 2700k on all philips LEDs with three way split and yellow heads. |

Does it give broad coverage or is it narrowly focused? In other words, would these work for an endtable lamp when pointing up?

Alternately they should work well in a ceiling fixture base up / light down. They'd start to fall apart on wall fixtures or in sideways orientations where they might leave more noticeable shaded areas. Good luck! Jon |

The 8W (40 Watt equivalent) 2700K ~450 lumen version is priced somewhere around $22 (not listed online)
The 17 Watt (75 Watt equivalent) 2700K 1100 lumen (~$40) seems to be online only (at least in my region), same as the twin pack of the 12W (60 Watt equivalent) 2700K 800 lumen (~$50) and yes, they've been at this price since the 17 Watt was introduced and took the ~$40 slot. Should I keep the (3) 6-packs of 60 watt equivalent CFL bulbs I got from Lowe's last month or so for a total of $2.96 (98 cents per 6-pack)......or buy 18 of these LED bulbs for about $450.00 instead...??
Yea..these LED's are such a Slick or Hot deal, aren't they?

Cross that off, I'm wrong. Apparently the 100w are more efficient at producing light. They product 17.1 lumens per watt, the 60w bulbs produce less than that, about 14 lumens per watt. Wow, if they only worked in a fan. Beware, these are very yellow looking light. I would prefer maybe 3000 instead of the 2700. I have these in my kitchen and every photo looks horrible.

I've used many LED wanna-bes, and these are the closest things to 60 watt incandescent bulbs - period. They also dim nicely in standard dimmers. Bright, all-around coverage. I use them in my foyer and they are great - but you pay the price... I mean... $25 for a light bulb!
