I don't know if this is the right forum to post this to or if this has been posted before.

From today (11/18/2011), Staples only price matches to select retailers.

The list of select retailers Staples will price match is as follows: Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Dell, Hewlett Packard, Office Depot, Office Max, Quill, Medical Arts Press, Reliable, Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, WB Mason, and Xerox.

I love this: They price match to Amazon but only if you find it at an Amazon B&M store?!?!?

Confused

"We don't match our store prices to those on other companies' Web sites."

Looks like rebate is no longer counted in price match?

How do Staples coupons and rebates contribute to the Staples price?

Listed Staples prices are compared to the listed prices of select retailers to determine price matches. Coupons and rebates are not deducted when calculating a price match but may be used at check out for additional savings.

Yeah, but put it in an FAQ and assume . . .

Sorta like the $3 album threads when Amazon has a $2 MP3 credit shake head

They've known about the coupons for years now and have even changed the system a couple times now, but I think at this point they take it as a necessary evil to keep business.

Also Staples has changed their pricematch policy over the years. Some of you SDers are still too new to know it..but they used to have a 115% pricematch policy, which then dropped to 110%, then 100%. And they have changed it for the worse over the years, and now to this.

They used to exclude Costco, because it was a warehouse club and you had to pay membership. Also, Amazon? WTF?
