Thread Details

Hey guys, this is a yearly thing that Ford puts on at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Basically you sign up to test drive a vehicle, and they give you a FREE $50 gift card! Last year, I got both 3 gift cards, and 1 check for $50.

What you need to do: Go to the LA auto show and sign up with one of their representatives. Personally signed up next to the Ford Fiesta rally simulator. They will then send you an email confirmation that you've signed up. They will then send you a paper to take to your dealer when test driving a vehicle. The dealer will need to put down the date of the test drive, and their dealer code.

How to make things extra slick: To get your dealer code, follow these steps.... Hat Tip: bumpinvolvo

1) Go to: http://owner.ford.com/servlet/Con...ateADealer
2) Enter zip code and click Locate a Dealer
3) Locate the dealer you would like to use and click More Dealer Info.
4) Look in your address bar and you will see ContentServer?dealerCUPID=FXXXXX <-- That will be the dealer code you use. I did it successfully for a local dealer and it accepted my application.

Good luck everyone!

As I said, use dealer codes at your discretion, but I can tell you know they don't change. My local dealers are still righton there

I didn't see anyone else with any test drive offers this year, but then again I really didn't spend a lot of time at a lot of the booths. Even with Ford, I had to ask about the offer without them even mentioning it to me in the first place

Wait, how do you use it more than once when It states that your email address is only valid once?

There are a few different ways to do this. First off, you need to have multiple addresses to ship things to as it's "one per household." When I went this year, I signed up, my father signed up for me at his house, and I filled out an extra waiver using my middle name/last name. You may even be able to just ask them to add multiple email addresses for you Smilie

forget the $50 bucks... just give me a damn free ticket to the auto show. It's not worth my $12 bucks.

You can usually hit up local dealers for free tickets. I personally went with the Porsche Club of America for the world unveiling of the Panamera GTS.

As a heads up though, there are $2 discounts on the LA Auto Show website - http://laautoshow.com/DiscountCoupon.html

FYI, the dealer code in the list linked in the OP won't work. I tried. What I did find to work is this:

1) Go to: http://owner.ford.com/servlet/Con...ateADealer
2) Enter zip code and click Locate a Dealer
3) Locate the dealer you would like to use and click More Dealer Info.
4) Look in your address bar and you will see ContentServer?dealerCUPID=FXXXXX <-- That will be the dealer code you use. I did it successfully for a local dealer and it accepted my application.

Good Luck!
