Yeah this is expensive for a "blender" but its a hell of a deal for a hell of a product! I picked one up to replace my juicer (same effect, without losing any of the fiber/nutrients that you get from juicing!).

Costco:
Vita-mix High Powered Blender 5200c
$374.99

Next lowest on Amazon:
$583.99

Yes, we got one today from Costco Smilie The one from Costco is actually Vitamix 5200c that comes with an 48oz container with a coupon to redeem either a recipe book or extended warranty. The Vitamix 5200 comes with a bigger 64oz container and a recipe book.

I bought it last Sunday from local Costco for $397.99; will they price match? and by the way, I have never thought making smoothies will be so much fun/

My Costcos have a road show where they feature these blenders several times a year--if your store isn't stocking them, you could ask if they will be having road shows any time soon. I had the Vitamix for several years and it's great for smoothies, soups, etc. I sold mine on Ebay and bought a Blendtek from Costco (at a roadshow), mostly because the Vitamix didn't fit under my cabinets and I got tired of that. Not trying to TC, and not interested in starting a debate about VM vs BT--just didn't work for me.

BTW i bought the Vitamix for about $350 at Costco 5 years ago, and sold it this year for $325, so they really hold their value!

sorry I cannot update the title, but after looking up the 5200c, its even more expensive! that 7 year warranty is freakin awesome!

also I would like to add B&M, but with costco I assumed everyone would know its B&M only (their online is NEVER representative of what they have in store, and vice versa)

sorry

As far as I know Costco do not adjust their price but you can always pick up a new one and return yours.
