Well, after my initial conversation with Amazon where they said they would look into and get back to me, someone from Amazon emailed me and all they said was that rebates are not valid 30 days after purchasing the product and therefore they cannot help me. This obviously was not my problem and/or requested solution. Amazon also emailed me a survey to ask how my customer service interaction was, so I clicked that no they did not answer my question and rated everything as very poor. When you submit the survey you can request for Amazon to call you again to try and resolve again, which I did. After a quick breakdown of my problems and previous call the person that called me the 2nd time offered me the $30 credit without any hassle.

Whew, mine finally showed up as "processed" on 3/18 - I submitted my rebate later than most so that date seems in line with the time delay others have had. I should mention I got mine through Walmart. There were no coupons applied but they were featuring a $30 gift card at the time with this purchase. With no coupon or other discounts listed on the receipt, it didn't raise any "deny! deny! deny!" flags for Philips, thankfully. About $25 is probably all this shaver is worth anyway, IMO. It shaves no faster/better than a 5 year old Panasonic non-rotary electric model I have.

Just an update on my experience which may help some.
I purchased from the Walmart deal with the gift card. My family submitted THREE rebates. NONE were processed. About two weeks ago I started chats with Norelco reps. All chats went the same way with me being given a case number and an email address to email my proof or purchase and rebate forms. After waiting between 10-14 days they were all approved. One may even have been approved TWICE. I'll be sure to return that extra cheque. ![]() I'm not done though. I'll be writing to the appropriate people over the next couple of days. This was quite obviously a scam being run Philips. Who would have thought a "reputable" company like Philips would do such a thing? That's me done with Philips products. No more. I sold the razor I got. |

Also received the denial card, contacted Philips CS, resubmitted all the copies for review, and they denied it again.
I'm not sure if someone already mentioned this, but besides filing complaints with BBB, or AG, also post your complaints on their facebook page. http://www.facebook.co I know it's not much, but bunch of unhappy customers posting complaints on their facebook can't be good for them, right? If I can save one more consumer from getting screwed by Philips, then 30 second post would be all worth it. |
