I am using Mozilla Firefox 3.0.15 and noticed that when I try to access the Black Friday section, the pages hang with an unresponsive script that points to ajax.googleapis.com.
Every new page in that section does this.
My only recourse (short of updating Mozilla, which has its own set of problems) is to block i.slickdealz.net, which causes some loss of functionality in other areas of your site.
Why is the script unresponsive, and did anyone test for compatibility before it was put in place?
I know, my browser is outdated and I need to update, even though I can traverse thousands of other web pages without incident. The reality is that a lot of people are still using Mozilla 3.0 because later versions have a multitude of new problems.
I am just trying to help with this report, and I can assure you that I am not the only user that is having this problem.
Another thing that makes things worse is that slickdeals loads so many websites that it takes a long time to load each page because of all of the negotiation required.
It is painful going from page to page because of all of the websites that need to be loaded each time (i.e. Google, Doubleclick, Discount Magazines, etc). I cannot understand the reason for forcing each user to load/reload all of those sites every time a new page is loaded. One time should be enough.
I have AT&T DSL (1.5mb) and I am unable to quickly negotiate loading of web pages because of their network, so it makes things even worse.
