I forgot about the tmobile one. Would deal talk be an appropriate place to talk about pros and cons?

Figured being connected with Wal-Mart this company would be some what decent but I can tell this may end up being a headache.
It will. You're not done. It took me 4 days to get DD's phone to work when they came out with the $30 deal unlimited text/unlimited web in Oct. CSR's are foreign, language barrier a problem but just getting them to setup the plan you want - you work for that part!

I just left straight talk, I had it for over a year. Its great if you want a simple way to just walk in a store and buy a pin card but to me, the internet was impossible to use(T401g) and for the same price(actually cheaper sometimes), I get on Page Plus for $29.85 which lets me use any droid thats not 4g with 1200min/3000text/100mb data on Verizon. Plus their CS speak fluent english and are very helpful!

Just bought the Samsung T401G + Unlimited $30 month for $74 and change (after tax). Looks like a pretty good deal for $30 a month unlimited. I think this deal is avail until the 30th.

Same issue here. Phones wont work. The wife spent 2.5 hours on the phone with some morons from india who can't speak english. You would think if we are all having the same problem they would know how to fix it by now rather than have you type in 40 digit codes 5 million times and pass you around to other idiots. I was excited to save some money since my wife is missing work right now due to a disablity but at this rate I am about ready to flip the f out on someone. lol

i dont even know where to return them do you? Spent another hour on the phone tonight with Gupta trying to figure things out. They told me they talked to t-mobile and they werent recognizing the sim card so he is going to send me out another sim card which i will have to call and activate on another new number. He told me they would credit me for the time i have not had the ablity to use my phone. I guess we will see. DO you know where to return them to though?

Just q quick update for everyone, I got the phone, checked the SIM, and it didn't match the others that people were reporting wasn't SIM-locked. On the order invoice paper included with my package, it showed that I had been signed up with a $30/month T-Mobile unlimited everything (Edge-only) package. So no dice. Gonna refund it ASAP thanks to the online ordering guarantee or w/e.

Given the poor customer service, I guess I shouldn't expect much but has anyone tried porting a number to ST?

Also, would Google Voice work as normal ? I don't see why not but I thought I'd ask anyways, possibly use it as an option instead of porting my number.

I port numbers to straight talk all the time from prepaid and contract numbers, usually takes a couple hours just depend on how quick previous carrier releases it. Not sure about google voice on that $30 plan, all the phones I do are for the $45 plan with 3G data and everything works!
