I talked to Mr. Patel to get an RMA, took about 30mins. what a joke! Here is the return address:
Straight Talk Returns Center
Brightpoint Reverse Logistics
2675 Reeves Rd, Suite 190
Plainfield, IN 46168
Not thread-jacking but I found this interesting......same return address as Virgin Mobile. Same 30min getting an RMA (they kept telling me to return the phone without an RMA number, not gonna happen).
Looks like both ST and VM use the same call center/processing center as the shipping label on our new VM phone was from Brightpoint as well. This goes a long way towards explaining why getting someone who knows the VM website and the issue we're having hasn't worked out so well.
I hope this works out for everyone. VM (Sprint) coverage is shoddy at our house and I've been considering another prepay. Looks like we'll keep holding where we are at the moment.
Porting my Sprint number to Straight Talk was rather painless. It took about 3 or so hours and did not require me to contact them at all, completely done online in about 5 minutes or so. I'm guessing making sure ALL of the account info is correct from your previous carrier makes this a simple process for most.
The hard part which I am working on right now is trying to enroll in Auto Refill to ensure I get the Unlimited $30 plan for the next year. When I login online I can't see any account information regarding my phone so I can't enroll.
Calling Straight Talk is by FAR the biggest negative about this company. They are nice people, but the language barrier sucks and most of them really don't have a clue what they are doing. It took 4 transfers and 40 minutes just to add auto refill to my account . . . and the funny thing is, I could bet money that is fast for them.
So hopefully I'm enrolled . . . I mean I still can't login in to verify, I can only trust the guys word at this point, though I will call back in about a week to verify that I am enrolled . . . but he clearly stated after I gave him the number, w/o me telling him (this is the last guy) . . that I was enrolled in the $30 Unlimited Plan Auto Refill. So we'll see.
That being said, the phone is perfect for my 66 year old mom who loves to talk all day and all night and she is trying to text so the 401G was sporty enough and stylish enough for her. The internet is pretty much a waste on this phone, but maybe after the year is up and a new special comes around maybe she'll switch phones . . . still there but it feels so 2003
Good Luck to you guys . . . call quality has been extremely solid, seems great for someone who talks alot (Meaning way more than PagePlus's minutes), and unlike Metro, no roaming charges.
