Question about CC portals. i.e ShopDiscover, Chase Ultimate Rewards
Quick question about credit card portals such as ShopDiscover and Chase's Ultimate Rewards.
Scenario:
You login to your CC account. Go to the rewards page and click a link to the store you want to purchase from. You are then re-directed to that store's webpage. You find the item you want, add it to your cart and checkout.
Questions:
How do you know if you are actually linked through your CC rewards portal?
Are there any visual indicators?
Is it done with browser cookies?
If you are not credited, how do you actually go about proving that you used the CC portal to complete your purchase?
Just wondering since I made a purchase through ShopDiscover at Apple for 5% cash back and I've read stories of people not getting credited with cash back.
Thanks in advance!
