I never trust non Amazon reviews. I am afraid stores delete really bad reviews to boost sales. I know for sure Amazon does not, so that is why I trust Amazon.

One has yellowish stain on plastic shade and the other has uneven black paint on the post. I switch the good from the bad, kept the good one and return the defective lamp. It was ok for the price, does give a good light and serve it purpose.

I got 3 of the swivel ones for like $51 shipped last time. For the price they are decent, and look pretty good assuming they didn't get damaged in shipping. Mine all look nice except one had a slight ding in the thin metal that covers the weighted base. Get a light socket splitter (Y, wye, whatever you want to call it) and screw in two higher wattage compact fluorescent bulbs for good output without wasting a lot of power and without generating too much heat (which could melt the plastic diffuser).
