I got two black lamps from the last deal, both of which came with cosmetic defect. One has yellowish stain on plastic shade and the other has uneven black paint on the post. I switch the good from the bad, kept the good one and return the defective lamp. It was ok for the price, does give a good light and serve it purpose.
Read the end of that post. Apparently I do agree with SD.
It is complete crap as expected.
this post seems more accurate
The lamp definitely is not worth the MSRP of $69. For $18, I'd say the the lamp is a slight value compared to everything else currently on the market. Compared to the Walmart\Target\Ikea lamps i was looking at which had greater prices, I'm happy with this purchase.
I got 3 of the swivel ones for like $51 shipped last time. For the price they are decent, and look pretty good assuming they didn't get damaged in shipping. Mine all look nice except one had a slight ding in the thin metal that covers the weighted base. Get a light socket splitter (Y, wye, whatever you want to call it) and screw in two higher wattage compact fluorescent bulbs for good output without wasting a lot of power and without generating too much heat (which could melt the plastic diffuser).
