Right now you can get a:

Queen PacBed Original 9" Memory Foam Mattress with a foundation and two pillows for $749.

Queen PacBamboo Plus 13" Memory Foam Mattress with a foundation and two pillows for $999.

King PacBamboo Plus 13" Memory Foam Mattress with a foundation and two pillows for $1,299.

Shipping is included and if you don't like it they pay to ship it back. I did a lot of extensive reading and tested a lot of memory foam mattresses in store (Sealy Embody, Tempurpedic, Serta iComfort) and I settled on trying out the Bed In A Box.

Bed In A Box has the highest customer satisfaction rating on Sleep Like the Dead's website (even higher than Tempurpedic) and they are A+ with the BBB

Of course there are a few bad reviews like there is with anything (for all I know it could be competitors running the company down. For the price I'm giving it a try and figured I would share it with everyone. They are extremely open on their website about the materials used in the bed, what is in them, and where they are made. Everything is made in the USA so there won't be any funky smell like the Chinese memory foam.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

These prices have been pretty consistent for at least the last four weeks - we ordered 1 13" King Bamboo at the end of October. Regardless, the price is killer for a foam mattress of this quality. Have slept on Tempurpedics and this easily compares.

Check out the videos on Youtube (google link: https://www.google.com/search?gcx...ox+youtube) of folks unboxing and such. It's quite an innovative way to ship a mattress.

Took us about two nights to adjust to the mattress. Can be used on a platform with < 5 inches between the supporting slats...

Edit: looks like prices will be going up in a couple days: http://www.bedinabox.com/template...s-note.gif

BIAB typically runs these " sales" that are supposed to end in 24 hours, and then restart the sale immediately. It's a sales tactic to convince you to impulse buy.

With that in mind, reviews are excellent across the board, and the company seems truly intent on satisfying customers. Well worth a look, but not a SD.

I was going to get the bamboo but went with the original because I want the memory foam feel. Seems the bamboo cover will kind of hide that, but maybe I'm wrong. How do you like it?

We love it - you're right that it doesn't 'feel' like a traditional memory foam mattress but for us (well, me) that was a big plus coz 'regular' foam mattresses get way too hot for me. Either way I think you'll love it.

If you haven't already checked it out, go to http://www.sleeplikethedead.com/m...dinab.html

There are a couple of comical ratings they have there...

Thank you for getting back to me. If the bed gets too hot or isn't firm enough for me then I'll have them pay to send it back and I will get the PacBamboo. I just couldn't pass up the deal to try it. I have seen that website before and saw that Bed In A Box had the highest customer satisfaction rating out of all brands so that is nice to know. I think the sample size was a little smaller than the rest, but either way I'm looking forward to getting mine.

For those w/ the Bamboo, how does it compare to something from Amazon or another provider at about half the cost? I'm impressed with the guarantee these guys offer.

I'm probably looking at a move within ~5 years, so 20 year longevity may not be much of a selling point (not sure how these mattresses would move).

Also, do use a platform or foundation?

Thanks.
