Thanks, OP! (Been looking for an easier setup than RO)
Good deal for clean water and Christmas presents to family members that don't really need anything.
I'm actually going to buy 2 (for each person)
1. UV lamp's last 10,000 on/off cycles (~7 years?), and replacement = $80/lamp
[NOTE: research on EcoQuest's LivingWater III shows the same 10,000 on/off cycles = 2-3 yrs life) http://ecoquestair.com/shop/livin...water_iii/
EcoQuest = multilevel marketing company (like AMWAY)
2. Single filter = $25 (or $15/ea for 3 pack)
3. Costco's awesome return policy. (If not satisfied with one unit after (let's say) 3 years, both will get returned - one used, one not)
UPDATE: Okay, after reading a lot (not much on the net) and watching youtube (not much there either), I'm going to cancel my orders. This is a single stage filter unit (filter at the top) with the added UV component. So, unless you believe that you have bacteria coming through your tap, the UV part is basically useless for city water...but maybe effective for well water. As one person posted on Amazon, this really is no different than a Brita (except for the UV part). FYI, I can see how reverse osmosis (RO) tastes better as it removes ALL stuff/contaminants given the multiple stages. I think that I will research that option more.
BTW, OP, why did you post this "deal" again within 1.5 weeks? You work for Zuvo? Kinda fishy.
