DCPI looks to be 080-00-1082. I am still not sure about how to get the cheaper price.

I didn't use any coupon nor is the item on clearance. It was on the normal shelf with normal price tag $89.99 and the 1.5GB at $79.99. I guess this deal maybe local. I must admit $90 isn't a hot deal compared to a few months ago but as you can see from my links to Newegg and Amazon HD prices have sky rocketed and the market price for these are around $160. For those that don't need HD perhaps you could wait til prices come down. I need a drive right now to built a computer and this is the best price I can find today.

got a 1.5tb for 79.99, -NESN but made in malaysia. only one left. did a scan and its a WD1502FAEX, the newest 1.5tb sata3 6Gb/s caviar black. they didnt have any malaysia 2tb drives left.
edit: opened it up and it's indeed the WD1502FAEX. only one year warranty though  but the wd elements case works as an enclosure for other sata drives too was able to apply the target gc too afterwards

this was 58 bucks when staples had that deal when you use that 25 off 75 coupon. it's an okay deal if you need it now

The shortage is going to last a while so I think this is a good deal if you can find it. I just came from a Target that has 3 of the 1.5 TB drives, checked one and it was made in malaysia, and there was one of the 2 TB drives that was made in Thailand. I really don't need a HDD right now but am considering picking up one of the 1.5's if they do indeed have the caviar black.
I am out of town so not sure what is available in the Vancouver area. |
