Presell usually starts 1 or 2 weeks before the start of the F&F sale. UPDATE: I've heard you can presell now.

You do NOT need a Macy's credit card to use this coupon. It works with North Face and top brands usually excluded from their everyday coupons.

This differs from having a Macy's credit card and using their 20% coupon because there's less exclusions. (i.e. Nike, North Face, Polo, Lacoste are included in the F&F sale)

Ecco and Ecko are included.

There's always a period before the F+F sale where you can pre-pay for your items and pick them up during the F+F sale. That way you generally get better discounts and fewer crowds.

Add in the price changes, and most stuff is probably cheaper right now than at the FF sale.

Nope..but usually these sales always exclude popular brands..and as the TS mentioned the print out coupon isn't available.. i had no idea whether the TS might have missed some exclusion paragraph or didn't copy/paste all of it.

likewise, i figured that since this is a forum where people grab deals all the time, SURELY, someone must have used a F and F before and thus could give me confirmation in a simple sentence like the guy below.

In my experience the special sales for macy's are often more expensive than regular sales depending on the product, since you can't stack on the Macy's card coupons. For example, Calvin Klein suits are 60% off this weekend, with an additional 20% coupon available for Macy's card holders, that is almost certainly better than the price will be during the F&F. However Friends and Family can be nice for other things that are usually restricted like Ralph Lauren, and a few other brands. So it really depends what you are looking for and what brands.
