When the lightning deal time hits zero, a add to cart button will appear click it right away and it will add it to your cart. You then have 15 minutes to complete your purchase, or it will be then allowed to be purchased by someone else on the wait list (if it is a popular deal).
You are not buying it instantly when it comes available. If I find something I am interested in, but don't quite know what the price will be, I always try to add it to my cart, and then decide if the price is good enough.
exactly how do lightning deals work? do you have to wait for the exact moment and click on the buy button immediately?
What gives with Newegg and their massive cancellations lately. I got the Toshiba Thrive cancellation 10 days ago. Lousy way for a company to operate.
Pretty pathetic of Newegg....I thought they had more of a real-time inventory on their site?
Being in the technical business I've been a NewEgg customer for about 10 years. Not sure if it changed owners or what but it has gotten to where they really suc.
At first thought I was just expecting too much from them but then seen all of the negative feedback in the last year or so for them.
Not saying they're worthless yet, just not what they used to be. I spend more and more time & money at Tiger Direct now.
What's ironic is that TigerDirect used to be the one with the reputation in the gutter not more than 10 years ago, and NewEgg was the alternative.
Wow I guess I am not crazy... Newegg has been great for the last decade or so... but a week ago, yes, RIGHT BEFORE BF, they suspended my account when I went to make a purchase. 10 days later, they are still "figuring it out." I blasted them, saying all of a sudden they are getting just as bad as Dell in support, and demanded my account active and to get all the items I missed for BG/CM weekend price matched now and/or when they come back in stock. They said yes, but that doesnt help when I still cant order anything. I have never had this type of incompetence from anything at Newegg, and this is going to change things. The worst thing is, not one apology or word of effort.... short curt 10 word replies basically saying they are on it, and they give me an update about once every 35 hours. It really takes 2 weeks to find out how to un-suspend a customer who has been a great customer for a decade and used Newegg as almost the sole source for all his clients and personal tech projects???
I gave rep points for the effort and TU (thumbs up)because of the convenience provided by the list and the hard work put in to it..
