To buy a refurbished lenses is one of the most dangerous things. I would never do that for 15% discount. it's so sensitive thing that you probably will not notice that something is wrong at first.

But it is only my and some professional photographers opinion.

Most od canons are just store returns that had damaged boxes.

If you look at the canon trade in thread, you'll see most people's opinion on canon's refurb items.

Most of the nice lens are OOS. Plus there were good deals to be had on the web prior to this so sought of negating this deal since you have to pay tax. So getting a refurb close to new price is not so hot.

The reason this deal is currently getting thumbs down is because resellers are wanting to buy up these deals to make money, and to prevent others from getting in on it. These are great deals. I've bought thousands of dollars worth of Canon refurbs & I've never had a problem.

Looks like a good deal. Buying refurb is definitely better than buying used. This actually make them cheaper than used.

Looks like in order to receive the coupon code you had to register by Nov. 25th. Registering now only allows you to get the new promotions (Starting Dec 2nd after this one ends).

Any opinions on the refurb Speedlites? The 580EX is really tempting at this price..
