Possible Double Charge on CCs from Tiger Direct purchases
Wasn't sure where to put this, but I wanted to keep some people informed..
I couldn't find the original thread where I bought the refurbished PS3 320 along with Uncharted 1 & 2 for $199 from tigerdirect.com
Today, I received an email from them saying that my item was shipped.. moments later I received a call from my Chase Freedom customer service saying there were some fraudulent charges on my card.. it appeared that Tiger Direct had charged my card TWICE.. once on the day I purchased the PS3 (about 3 days ago) and another time today. Here's the email I received along with my call from CF customer service:
Dear ____________:
As part of our commitment to help keep your account secure, we monitor it for possible fraudulent activity. We tried to contact you to help us verify recent activity, but we weren't able to reach you. We're writing to verify whether the transaction below was authorized on your Chase Freedom account ending in ______ by you or another Cardmember:
Transaction for $209.13 at SYX*TIGERDIRECT.COM was declined on or around 11/30/2011 in 800-888-4437, FL United States.
Keep an eye out for that.. not sure whether I should call tigerdirect or just ignore it
